Riley's Sweet Quick Breads was formed in 1990 by Bruce Jenkins Jr., in Denver, Colorado. Once folks tasted his signature Sweet Potato bread, they just “kept a coming”. Many would buy several loaves and freeze some for future meals or occasions. Bruce named the bread company after his youngest son, Christoph.

The plan was to pass ownership to him once and if he was ready and willing to accept the responsibility of his inheritance. Then on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, Christoph informed his father, Bruce that he was ready to accept ownership of what was then being called Christoph’s Sweet Quick Breads. However, Christoph wanted to first, rename the company after his youngest daughter, Riley, and pass the ownership on to her as well. Riley was 4 months old then. Her father has made it a priority to teach his daughters about entrepreneurship and financial leadership at an early age.
